Because the Lord knows I’ve tried! Yes, I have written a book titled, An Open Autopsy on America, which I felt gave some pretty shocking details if America stood by its antiquated rules, policies, and laws regarding immigration posture. However, I confess to being aware that not everyone even reads a book.
The difficulty that I am experiencing right now is do our elected officials know that we have finally entered an age where their accountability is going through a microscope now? And I don’t mind admitting that when a person just changes their minds – such as Sen. Schumer and Rep. Pelosi have with regards to supporting the five billion in funding for the wall and then suddenly, when the issue hits the board for Congressional activity, it is not only these two, but near the entire Democrat Party has waffled and waned in their decision making?

Yet, at the same time, having given 25 or more years to the study of immigration policy, I have reached the parameters of what is good and right for our country and also what is bad and wrong with it too.
What I can say is this: Although the Founding Fathers did not give it near the attention it needs and deserves, they did have ways and laws dealing with it. Throughout history, there has always been a person, or people have given over to doing the right decision.
I believe that President Theodore Roosevelt in his time was very correct when he established the decorum of human behavior for all immigrants; then again, I can’t possibly agree with what the Congress did in 1866-1868, any more than I will stand and applaud the amnesty that President Ronald Reagan did one hundred years later.
For what it’s worth I do not believe that immigration reform or better still, rules, policies, and laws should be anywhere near Congress right now. For starters, I do not believe that our present Congress has the mental stability to act erstwhile. Perhaps a Committee that can use the power and personnel of Congress, maybe even the wise citizen.
Look at the enormous amounts of legal activity and slowdowns due in very large part by Congressional loopholes put into place by the very nonthinkers they are. As for me, I am scared. I supported President Trump during his campaign and I still do. Who cares about a government that makes errors for itself?
