I can't speak for anyone who happens upon 'The Thinker' and has a delightful and inspiring read. What I can do is share information that I've read and just like the "Doctor of Democracy" does, refer you to my 'essential stack of stuff' by providing links to articles and calling your attention to those in the business of journalistic prudence with integrity.
Just a couple of examples for illustration purposes: Michelle Malkin, syndicated journalist, Fox News contributor, and hardest working female on the planet; another great source of information is The American Thinker, a very well rounded and perhaps has more contributors than any other blog in the entire blogosphere; in fact, there are several sites that are expert in investigative journalism.
I would certainly recommend the National Review Online, Judicial Watch, Riehl World View, and of course, Stop the A.C.L.U., and Hot Air, and, "let they who have ears, listen!" to Rush Limbaugh. Please believe me when I say that this is a public service announcement insofar as none of the aforementioned organizations need to be hyped by me.
Ahh, I could go on and on because there are just too many dedicated, fact finding folks out there that will search for the truth. And once they find their information—and having verified it—have no problem whatsoever writing about the truth. Amazing thing that notion we call the truth, because when one writes, or reports on the truth, there are very little, if any, punitive action.
I feel as a writer, moreover, as a decent human being it is important to sort out a couple of matters about me that is not covered in the "About the Author" page. First and foremost—Listen Up!—I am not anti-immigration in the least. Although I do understand the difference between explorations, settling, establishing a unified government and the simple notion of immigration, or those who by choice decide to leave where they were living and through proper procedures were chosen or given the privilege to live in the United States.
Not all people can be born in a distinct place. A couple of things we can't determine immediately upon arrival into the world are; we can't choose our names and we can't choose where we live at birth.
I do however have a passion about the 'Manner of Law' and a driving desire to see an antiquated system worked into a honest and realistic system of immigration reform. On a special note: For those who violate the process of acquiring permission to live in America with reckless disregard for the process and the manner of law, it is to those whom I am 'anti' about anything.
When one ignores the law and comes to America to find work and live a better lifestyle without one iota of the process—then YES!—to those I am very anti-immigrant; furthermore, anti-Illegal Immigrant.
And finally, like it or not, inasmuch as nothing operates within a vacuum, having acquired some 25 million plus illegal aliens, one could and should openly admit that in one way or another their presence and practices are a burden on America's system and therefore could be lumped into the causality of the current financial crisis.
